Our thanks to Irene from Chilliwack who donated her 2007 Toyota Matrix to the important work done by the Salvation Army in Chilliwack. The vehicle was sold to a senior in the community for a little less than its market value, in order to help them out, and this was with the permission of both the donor and the Salvation Army. So, the Salvation Army plus a senior in need benefitted from Irene’s generous donation of her vehicle.
The Salvation Army in Chilliwack focuses on feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the cold, and offering compassion to the hurting.
Their food bank in Chilliwack provides basic food needs for hundreds of families each month. Their food recovery program adds to this by redistributing donated food from local grocers to the local community through their daily ‘food pantry’.
Their community soup kitchen provides tens of thousands of meals each year to anyone in need in the community, while 68 men and women each night are able to sleep in a bed in their emergency shelter.

To donate a no longer needed or older vehicle to this or another charity in the Fraser Valley, or beyond, scroll over the ‘Choose Your Charity’ link in our top of the page menu.
If you don’t see your charity listed choose ‘Other Charity’ at the bottom of the drop-down list and name them in the vehicle donation process.
Vehicle donations provide valuable financial resources to support the running of local charities. With minor repairs, some vehicles may be worth more to a charity resold. If not, the vehicle will be recycled with parts and any metal sold for the benefit of the charity. Each vehicle is evaluated to determine the best course of action.
Vehicles are towed free and once the vehicle is disposed of the proceeds are donated to the charity chosen by the donor.
