Our thanks to Dalla Victor of Chilliwack for donating a 2004 Kia Sedona to the Indian Residential School Society (IRSSS) charity.

At Your Choice To Donate we love supporting the work of charities like IRSSS through our Charity Vehicle Donation Program.  Charities like the IRSSS play an important role in the local communities where they operate and we are glad to help them raise funds through vehicle donation.

The IRSSS provides essential services to Residential School Survivors, their families, and those dealing with Intergenerational traumas. These impacts affect every family and every community across B.C. and Canada. This fact is most evident in the Corrections Canada Services and the numbers of First Nations people incarcerated, Child and Family Services child apprehensions, the high number of people on social assistance, unemployment and underemployed, lower levels of education, the lowest number within an ethnic minority of “determinants of health”. The list of impacts is extremely high while the services available to effectively assist impacts of Residential Schools remain quite low.

One of the Society’s goals is to continually expand their support to partner organizations and maximize access to culturally sensitive, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual care.

Vehicle donations provide valuable financial resources to support the running of local charities like the IRSSS. With minor repairs, some vehicles may be worth more to a charity resold. If not, the vehicle will be recycled with parts and any metal sold for the benefit of the charity. Each vehicle is evaluated to determine the best course of action.

Vehicles are towed free and at no cost to the charity. Once the vehicle is disposed of the proceeds are donated to the charity chosen by the donor.

To donate a used or no longer needed vehicle to charity simply click the ‘Donate Vehicle’ button at the top of the page.
