Our thanks to Joan from Langley for donating her 2000 Honda Accord to the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope in Langley.
The Salvation Army Gateway of Hope serves the City and Township of Langley. Their mission is to help the homeless and those at risk with material assistance and other crucial supports, in order to help them find hope and move forward. They bring a dignified, person centered, and holistic approach to their work, meeting every individual with respect and without judgement or discrimination. They are proud of the fact that over the years since they’ve opened, they have assisted many men and women to move out of homelessness for good, and into healthy living..
Their community soup kitchen provides tens of thousands of meals each year to anyone in need in the community, while 68 men and women each night are able to sleep in a bed in their emergency shelter.
We love supporting the work of charities like the Salvation Army through the Your Choice To Donate Vehicle Donation Program. They play an important role in the local communities where they operate and we are glad to help them raise funds through vehicle donation.
Vehicle donations provide valuable financial resources to support the running of local charities. With minor repairs, some vehicles may be worth more to a charity resold. If not, the vehicle will be recycled with parts and any metal sold for the benefit of the charity. Each vehicle is evaluated to determine the best course of action.
Vehicles are towed free and once the vehicle is disposed of the proceeds are donated to the charity chosen by the donor.
